Globe wins AFP Golden Flame Partnership Award

Globe has been recognized by the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) as one of the inaugural recipients of the Golden Flame Partnership Award. This award is the AFP’s highest recognition for partners whose sustained contributions have strengthened its mission and operational capabilities.

The award reflects nearly three decades of partnership between Globe and the AFP, which began in 1996. This collaboration has supported the AFP’s mission-critical connectivity requirements.

Globe received the distinction for its contributions through the PAGASA Project and other initiatives. These initiatives enable secure communications and strengthen the AFP’s operational readiness.

The company was the only telecommunications company recognized among the 16 inaugural awardees. It was also the sole recipient nominated by the AFP Communications, Electronics and Information Systems Service (J6).

The award was presented at Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, led by now-retired AFP Chief Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr. Brawner stated that the AFP’s partnerships are essential in advancing its mission.

Other inaugural awardees included Ayala Corporation, BDO, and the United States Joint United States Military Assistance Group (US-JUSMAG). These partnerships support the AFP’s mission and contribute to its success.
